l have now bought three of these but the one I use most frequently had the outer sheathing of the lead come away from the retainer on the base exposing the insulation of the single conductors which of course could be dangerous, to repair it I needed to cut off the supplied plug to enable some shrink sleeving to be used, a result of all this was I was able to see how thin the conductors are, in fitting a BS 13A plug to replace the 2 pin one I took the opportunity of fitting a 1amp rated fuse. As supplied these small section cables, if the LED is plugged into a UK power ring circuit, will be 'protected' (ie will not be protected) by a 32A fuse/circuit breaker!
